Our minds are a vast storehouse of information, memories, thoughts and emotions that can become triggered by words, songs, smells etc. Relics of past times leap into our consciousness, transporting us back in time and causing us to relive the past
In this series of works I want to explore unconscious responses and relay them in a visual format using a type of automatic drawing. By focusing on a word and allowing my unconscious to express itself on paper, without censor, a free and spontaneous expression
